I need your help! Read below…
I am currently looking for a low-cost space to create a vet physio clinic, due to previous plans having an indefinite delay. If you have or know of somewhere that might be appropriate for the use I require, please get in touch!
It does not need to be a large area - even a large garden shed would work! I only need enough space for a desk, cupboard unit and client seating, somewhere to store my lesser-used equipment and enough floor space to be able to carry out treatment and exercises. Things I do require are: electricity, some sort of toilet facility for myself and clients (shared facilities is more than adequate), somewhere to get water if there is no direct plumbing (to fill a kettle) and somewhere with minimal steps to access (so accessible for my older patients). Ideal location would be situated in or around Barnstaple.
Coming to the clinic can be beneficial for dogs in particular, with many dogs often getting over-excited or anxious with people entering their space. Bringing them into a neutral space that isn’t part of their territory can help to reduce the amount of time spent calming them down. The clinic space also provides somewhere they can associate with focus and relaxation to maximise the benefits physiotherapy can offer and make the session as efficient as possible.
The ‘Nice to Meet You’ sessions are a great option if you aren’t sure how your dog will behave in the clinic, or if they need their own time to be comfortable in a new environment without overwhelming them with being treated at the same time!
If you would prefer a clinic based appointment within this time, you will be able to receive a home based session at the same cost as a clinic appointment. Should you wish to continue home based sessions once the clinic opens, you will be charged at the normal home visit cost.
